Lauryn Hill surprised fans on Friday by bringing out Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel during her set at the annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia.Â
Toward the end of her set, the singer brought out fellow Fugees members for a mini-reunion set. The trio performed classics like “Ready Or Not,” “How Many Mics,” “Killing Me Softly,” and the finale, “Fu-Gee-La.”

This is the first time The Fugees have performed together since they reunited in 2021 for a performance in New York City. A 25th-anniversary tour celebrating the group’s 1996 album The Score was planned and subsequently canceled. Complications due to the COVID-19 were cited as the reason.Â
With Pras facing up to 20 years in prison, it could be the last time for the foreseeable future.Â

The rapper was accused of using Malaysian billionaire Jho Low’s money to buy seats for people at fundraisers aiming to reelect then-President Barack Obama. He was also charged with trying to thwart the FBI’s investigation into Low and attempting to persuade the United States to send a Chinese dissident back to China.Â
The Grammy-winning musician was convicted on 10 counts in April and is facing up to 20 years behind bars. He is still awaiting sentencing.
