Stars in the hip Hop industry, including The Game and Dom Kennedy have teamed up to create a summer hoops league for college hoopers.

The Real Run College Basketball Summer League will take place in L.A., TMZ reported. It’s set to begin June 17 and run through August 13.

It’ll feature women’s and men’s basketball players, as well as ex-NBA player Pooh Jeter, who’s partnering up with Real Run founder Deanthony Langston. The goal is to change countless lives.

Jeter said the new league will also offer high-level games with rappers like Game, Dom Kennedy, BlueBucks Clan, and G PERICO in charge of teams. The league will help provide athletes a link from sports to musical culture and on-court competition.

“A lot of the rappers was like, ‘This is something amazing,'” said Jeter, an L.A. native who played for the Sacramento Kings in 2010. “‘This is something we can change the game with.'”

College players Boogie Ellis and JuJu Watkins are also set to play. Jeter is hoping those involved will inspire other musicians to join in too.

“I would love for Diddy and Snoop or whoever!” Jeter said. “If you from L.A., show up, and let’s do something amazing for our community.”

Another perk is that league participants will have the opportunity to take part in a nine-week virtual learning program with NBA execs and others that will help them learn about mental health, finance, media, fashion, music, real estate, marketing, and more.
