Recent details have emerged concerning a brawl involving former NFL MVP quarterback Cam Newton, which caught public attention after videos surfaced of him in a physical altercation at an Atlanta tournament. The incident involved TJ and Steph Brown of TSP, following their team’s victory over Newton’s C1N team in a closely contested match. In an interview with Fox News Digital, TJ Brown detailed how tensions flared during a confrontation with Newton in a parking lot the day after their match.
TJ recounted, “On Sunday, as I was walking through the parking lot heading to the field, Cam suddenly jumped out of his car and confronted me, saying, ‘Hey, all that trash talk isn’t going to work today. What are we betting on today?’ I responded by telling him I wasn’t interested in betting since I had already defeated him multiple times. He insisted, boasting about his wealth and never running out of money. I told him that was his problem, thinking money is everything and that he can’t buy me, before walking away.”
Additionally, TJ and Steph shared an instance where they witnessed Newton and his team taunting TSP from atop a staircase during the game. “As we were warming up, Cam initiated a chant and encouraged his players to direct it at us,” TJ explained. “It’s worth noting he’s aware that not all players on both sides get along. Despite this, his team approached ours, chanting provocatively. I remarked to the camera not to erase the footage if I won again, referencing past instances where my victories weren’t recorded.”
TJ further described Newton’s behavior during the game, saying, “He was up there with his team, shouting down at us, claiming he taught us everything we know and calling himself the reason for our success. It was all very confrontational.”
Cam Newton and the Brown Brothers’ History
Newton and the Brown brothers have a history that dates back to 2020, when Newton appointed TJ as the head coach for one of his C1N 7-on-7 teams, with Steph serving as the wide receivers coach and part of the offensive support staff. However, in 2022, the Browns left C1N to form their own 7-on-7 team, TSP. Their departure and subsequent victories over Newton’s team seemingly sowed the seeds of the recent altercation, highlighting the complex relationship between Newton and the Brown brothers.

If he was so certain of his win against him why wouldn’t he wanna put money on it if it was a sure bet. Also sounds like normal game of sports taunting back and forth with the other team but maybe that’s just because I’m from a different generation where that was part of it. Sticks and stones
