The Lakers are giving up damn near their entire team to build their team of super stars to hopefully include Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard. Well, as of today they’ve done what was necessary to obtain Paul. In a massive three team trade involving Los Angeles, Houston and New Orleans. In the deal Houston will trade Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, and Goran Dragic to the Hornets & receive Pau Gasol from the Lakers while the Lakers send Lamar Odom-Kardashian over to the Hornets. This is just in time for the tip-off game of the season on Christmas against the Chicago Bulls. Rumor has it that the Lakers wouldn’t mind giving up Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard but that deal (if it is in the works at all) hasn’t gone through yet.
Could LA be building their own Miami Heat? Will it even matter?
