Fresh off the heels of their iconic Verzuz battle against Dipset, The LOX has received the keys to Yonkers.
Styles P shared the news in an Instagram video alongside his LOX-mates, Jadakiss and Sheek Louch. The “Good Times” rapper thanked the mayor of Yonker for honoring the group with the keys. In the video, Styles also revealed that the group would be reviving a city park for families to enjoy.
Styles wrote that The LOX was “honored, humbled and appreciative” to receive this monumental honor in the caption.
Mayor Mike Spano also shared the news to his official Instagram, stating, “I hope you will join me as I recognize @thelox with the @cityofyonkers highest achievement, the Key to the City, for their contributions to Yonkers.”
The key ceremony took place on Friday, August 6th, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. During that same celebration, the city unveiled the renovated park, which featured updated equipment.
This latest victory comes just three days after the group dominated Dipset in a legendary New York Verzuz battle that was riddled with tense and comical moments.
