At this year’s Invest Fest, The Marathon, founded by the late Nipsey Hussle, and the business/financial network Earn Your Leisure are partnering to present the Nipsey Hussle Business Grant: a $100,000 pitch competition.
Sponsored by Microsoft, the Neighborhood Nip Foundation, and Earn Your Leisure, this contest aims to support one outstanding entrepreneur with a $100,000 grand prize.
The top four finalists will compete live on the Invest Fest 2024 main stage to pitch their business ideas. Submit your venture for a chance to showcase your entrepreneurial vision.
The Neighborhood Nip Foundation, established in 2019, continues Nipsey Hussle’s mission of inspiring and uplifting communities, especially underprivileged youth. The foundation recently partnered with the LA Marathon to raise funds revitalizing Nipsey Hussle Plaza at 3420 W. Slauson Ave. – the original Marathon Store location in Los Angeles.
This site will become a community hub with programs for students from elementary through high school, offering academics, music, studio access, exclusive Marathon Store shopping, and free haircuts at Steve’s Barbershop (named for Hussle’s friend/partner Stephen Donaldson). The center plans to open in 2024.
Submit your business concept before the deadline to apply for the Nipsey Hussle Business Grant pitch competition. After eligibility review, successful applicants will be notified by August 16th, 2024.
