The Met Gala’s chef curator was not too happy about Keke Palmer posting a photo of the provided food, which fans compared the dish to the Fyre Festival.
According to TMZ, Marcus Samuelsson, the restaurateur/chef, said that the photo of Keke’s food was indeed a part of what was being served for $30k-$50k per ticket.
He also claimed that Miss Palmer’s plate barely had anything on it. Marcus stated that food, like everything, is about taste, and it was delicious.
The Chef stands by his opinion that the 3-course meal was excellent and said he’s received nothing but excellent feedback.
Marcus said he selected and then challenged 10 New York chefs in collaboration with Bon Appetit to create a sustainable plant menu of fruits and vegetables.
However, Keke’s photo of her food had everyone joking about the meal all on social media.
One person wrote, “This was clearly a ‘eat before you get there’ type of thing.” Someone else said, “They feeding y’all like it’s Fyre Festival.”
