It’s been almost a decade since The Oprah Winfrey Show ended, and fans of the hit talk-show will be pleased to learn that the show is making a return in an interesting way.
According to Oprah Winfrey’s television network OWN, next month, the series that was on air for 25 years, will be uploaded in the form of a podcast, PEOPLE revealed.
Tiny Perry, President of OWN, exclusively told the publication, “As we head into a new decade, it’s a great time for fans of The Oprah Winfrey Show to revisit the joy, laughter, and inspiration that kept us all tuning in daily for 25 years.”
The upcoming podcast is yet another one of Winfrey’s shows to take the audio format, joining Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations, Iyanla: Fix My Life and A New Earth.
The podcast will allow fans to look back at previous episodes and reflect on how we’ve grown over time.
“The Oprah Winfrey Show The Podcast is the perfect opportunity to look back and reflect, take stock of how we’ve grown, and to be reminded that we’re all in this together,” she added.
The upcoming release of the podcast will start off releasing it’s first 10 ‘audible versions’ on March 3, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Over 4,500 installments of the iconic show will be converted as an audio format and uploaded weekly.
However, it’s important to note episodes will not air in chronological order. Instead, the first series of episodes, to be released next month, will consist of the show’s most-watched episodes.
Topics to be discussed in the first aired re-released episodes will range from race relations, drug addictions, weight loss, and divorce.
