The sister of Tupac Shakur wants Donald Trump and his team to keep her brother’s name out of their mouths.
As Trump prepares for a potential bid in the feds among the scammers and drug dealers he’s so vehemently denounced, he is now being compared to the late rapper. His attorney, Alina Habba, made headlines days ago when she confidently blurted out, “Donald Trump is 2Pac. Donald Trump is Biggie Smalls.” Per Habba’s odd analogy, Trump’s legal troubles will only “boost him” in the polls, securing his second presidential term.
Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur called the comments “blasphemous,” stating the disgraced president could never amount to the man her brother was.
“My brother was measured by his integrity, his principles, and personal and collective responsibility,” Set told TMZ on Monday. The half-sister of the prolific lyricist, with whom she shares the same mother, even acknowledged Pac’s 1995 sexual assault jail sentence. While the rapper maintained the encounter with his victim was consensual, he was sentenced to 1.5 to 4.5 years in prison, serving nine months. Set says, unlike Trump, her brother took accountability for the actions that landed him behind bars.
Trump has been indicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business documents that hid the gravity of his hush money schemes during his 2016 campaign. He has pleaded not guilty, calling the case “an insult to our country.”
