The Super Bowl brought us everything from halftime performances to surprise cameos from celebrities in the commercials. And if you missed the Superbowl game, then no worries, check out some of the top commercials below:
Kanye West x McDonald’s
If the recent back and forth with his estranged wife Kim Kardashian wasn’t hard enough to figure out, try deciding which menu item to order from McDonald’s. In the “Can I Get Uhhhhhh…” commercial, multiple people, are stuck on what to order from McDonald’s menu. Then at the 20-second mark of the 30-second video, an all-black Russian Sherp ATV pulls up to drive-thru with Ye saying, “Hey can I get uhhhhh…”
Lindsay Lohan x Planet Fitness
Lindsay Lohan was able to take one for the team as she partnered with Planet Fitness to advocate for physical and mental wellness. Lohan also joked at her past unhealthy relationship with the paparazzi, partying, and her fashionable ankle bracelet after being on house arrest in 2011.
Hellmanns x Pete Davidson x Jarod Mayo
Hellmann’s was brutally “tackling” food waste and wasted no time to get former NFL player Jarod Mayo to tackle anyone that thought of throwing food. He went from attacking an older lady to someone on crutches. When he wanted to tackle comedian Pete Davidson, Davidson stopped him insisting no wasting had done. Just when Mayo turns around, he does a 360 and still attacks Davidson. Davidson’s final line “I get it, I’m very hittable.” Maybe it was a pun towards Ye’s song “Eazy.”
Pringles
Pringles continue its legacy of Superbowl commercials, this time something everyone can relate to, getting a hand stuck in a Pringle’s can. This time, they turned it up a notch and featured a man getting his hand stuck but living the rest of his life with a Pringles can stuck on his hand. He goes through life-changing moments like a wedding, having children, and eventually death. Then it starts all over with a younger man getting a Pringles can stuck on his hand, so the legacy continues.
Chevy x The Sopranos
Probably the most hyped commercial was the crossover of The Sopranos and Chevy. The opening scene mimics the same scene of the show with guests Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler. The ad promoted a new electric Chevy Silverado for a new generation.
