Just two weeks after the last episode of “The Wendy Williams Show” aired, fans discovered on Monday that the show’s social media accounts had been erased.
The website was completely gone, and the Instagram and YouTube accounts were also removed.
The popular daytime talk show ended on June 17 due to Wendy Williams’s health issues.
Although the program featured a video homage to the host, Williams did not appear in the final episode.
In the fall, Sherri Shepherd will debut her own talk show, “Sherri,” taking over Williams’ time slot. Shepherd served as a guest host last year.
Even though the show’s digital footprint might be gone, Williams got her iconic purple chair before it was thrown out. She plans to include it in her upcoming podcast.
The change was confirmed by Williams’ manager, Will Selby, who said: “That was [Wendy’s], and it signifies the old chapter closing as we start the new one. We will take it, which will be part of her new show.”
After coping with COVID-19, challenges connected to her mental health, and fatigue from her Graves disease, Williams, 57, chose to take a break from hosting in 2020.
