Three American tourists were found dead at a Sandals resort on the island of Exuma in the Bahamas, and another was airlifted to a hospital.
The deaths are under investigation, but foul play is not suspected, according to a statement made by acting Prime Minister Chester Cooper on Twitter. An official cause of death has not been released.

According to a statement from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, officers responded to a call just after 9 a.m. Friday for reports of an unresponsive male in a villa. While en route, they were informed that another male and female were found unresponsive in another villa.
None of the victims’ bodies showed any signs of trauma, but the victims in the second villa showed signs of convulsion. The man and woman had experienced illness the night before and sought medical treatment from a medical facility.

A fourth person was airlifted to Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau. Her condition is currently unknown. No other information was provided regarding the incidents surrounding the fourth victim.
“Nothing is more important to Sandals Resorts than the safety of our guests,” Sandals Resorts said in a statement. “We are actively working to support both the investigation as well as the guests’ families in every way possible during this difficult time. Out of respect for the privacy of our guests, we cannot disclose further information at this time.”
The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of family members.
