Three people were killed and two others injured in an early morning shooting at a Kansas City nightclub.
Police were called to the Klymax Lounge around 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, where they discovered five gunshot victims. Two were pronounced deceased at the scene, and another died at an area hospital.
The Kansas City Star identified one of the deceased victims as 41-year-old Jason McConnell. McConnell reportedly worked security at the club, according to a family member. Police have not identified any of the victim’s identities.
Two other victims were transported to a local hospital. One was listed in stable condition, and the other remains in critical condition.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
