Early Sunday morning, a Houston-area night club was the location of a shooting that ended with three deputies hit and one casualty.
Working for extra-pay and in full uniform, the three deputies were stationed outside of Set Night Club and were attempting to break-up a fight when a man opened fire.
Of the three deputies, one female and two males, only the female needed surgery. According to Houston Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, all are expected to survive, and the female deputy is in “good spirits.”
A 40-year-old Hispanic woman was hit in the crossfire and later died of her injuries at a nearby hospital.
One suspect, a Hispanic male in his 20’s, suffered a gunshot wound and was taken into custody after being treated at a nearby hospital. His motive is still in question.
According to Houston Police Executive Assistant Chief Troy Finner, reported by CNN, the number of people shooting is unclear.
The investigation is ongoing.
