Shots rang out on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach Saturday night, injuring three and sending spring breakers into a stampede to escape the violence.Â
CNNÂ reports that two people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after officers responded to the area.Â
“On Sunday at 12:15 a.m., officers responded to a shooting along the 800 block of Ocean Drive,” according to Miami Beach Police Department spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez. “Two victims were located with an apparent gunshot wound and were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital by Miami Beach Fire Rescue with non-life-threatening injuries.”
The outlet reports that an additional male was injured during the same shooting. The department received a call from Mount Sinai Hospital that a man had been brought in with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
It’s unclear what started the shooting or if police have identified any suspects. Police have not indicated whether or not any charges have been filed in connection to the incident.Â
