Three men have been identified in the murder of Joshua Brown and are facing capital murder charges.
Joshua Brown was shot multiple times at a Dallas apartment complex on Oct.4. Just a few days prior, Brown testified on the stand against former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger.
When Brown was first murdered, many speculated that it was in retaliation to his testimony that helped prosecute Guyger.
After the investigation was completed, it was concluded that his murder was the result of a drug deal gone bad.
On Thursday, a grand jury indicted Michael Mitchell, 32, Jacquerious Mitchell, 20 and Thaddeous Charles Green, 22.
According to police, the three men were purchasing drugs from Brown. Jacquerious told police that a fight broke out between Brown and Green which led to Brown shooting Mitchell in the chest and that Green shot Brown twice.
Michael and Jacquerious were both arrested a few days after Brown’s murder and are being held on a $500,000 bond each.
Thaddeous Charles Green is still at large.
