On June 6, police in Michigan‘s Oakland County arrested John Erwin Dingens, 61, Fazlollah Farz Haritash, 64 and Richard August Prausa, 45. Their arrests come as part of a large undercover sex sting operation that busted child predators who were looking to traffic underage girls.
“Weeks ago, we arrested individuals for targeting young people for sex,” Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said per CBS’ WNEM. “At that time, I said if you target kids, we are going to target you. Apparently, some people need to be told more than once. We will hold these predators accountable.”
Police captured the men at an undisclosed location in Independence Township. The men have been charged with four felonies including child sexually abusive material, accosting children for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime.
“On July 6 at a location selected in Independence Township, we arrested these three adult males that are attempting to entice and have sex with underage girls,” said Sheriff Bouchard, per Fox 2 Detroit.
The men were released on bond this past Saturday under the agreement that they won’t contact children they aren’t related to, Fox 2 Detroit reports.
