In light of the new presidency, at least three NBA teams have stopped staying at Donald Trump-branded hotels this season, in an effort to avoid any implied association.
According to ESPN, the Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and the Dallas Mavericks have opted out of their contracted stay at Trump hotels in New York and Chicago.  There is an additional Eastern Conference team with a commitment to Trump Soho but it is likely that they will also switch when their contract is up.  Trump does not hold equity stake in this particular hotel, howe Er.
The Bucks stayed at the Trump International Tower and Hotel in Chicago during preseason, but when they tried to cancel at the last minute, they ran into a few issues. In turn, team sources say they’ve already made arrangements for the regular season road games against the Bulls. According to reports, both the Bucks and the Grizzles have found an alternative to their Trump Soho stay, for their road games in New York.
Seven other teams are still scheduled to stay at Trump-branded properties this season, reports state.
