Tia Mowry has filed for divorce after a 14-year marriage to actor Cory Hardrict.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the 44-year-old “Sister, Sister” star filed the dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles County Courts and is citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The actress is asking for joint custody of their two children Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4, and requests that the court terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party.
According to Mowry, the couple had a prenup agreement that outlines splitting up property, assets, and child support.
Following news of their divorce, Mowry took to Instagram with a message to fans.
“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she said in Tuesday. “These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Mowry and Hardrict met on the set of ‘Hollywood Horror’ and dated for six years before getting married in 2008.
