Tia Mowry has made a somber revelation about her relationship with her twin sister, Tamera.
In a preview of her show, “My Next Act,” the actress was seen dropping off her daughter at her ex-husband’s home. While going through her divorce from Cory Hardrict, Tia opened up about how she wished she could have had Tamera’s support, though that wasn’t possible.
“It’s times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close and I could pick up the phone and call her. But that’s just not where we are right now,” she explained in the clip.
“My Next Act” will premiere on October 4th, so it’s possible Tia could offer more details about why she is estranged from Tamera. The sisters rose to fame in the early 1990s when they starred in the twin comedy series “Sister, Sister.” They also had their own reality television series, which debuted in 2011 and ran for three seasons.
It’s unclear if Tamera will appear on the show. Their brother Tahj was also not seen in the first-look video. However, Tamera’s seemingly more conservative lifestyle may play a role in her distance from Tia. There have also been rumors that her husband, Adam Housley, was a Trump supporter, which also fueled discussions online of how the twins navigated their lives differently.
Tamera has not spoken out about Tia’s comments.
