Tia Mowry-Hardrict has put an end to the possibility of a Sister, Sister reboot.
On Tuesday, the actress joined in on the “Questions I Get Asked” craze on TikTok, where she cleared the air that there would be no comeback.
After confirming that she would not return for a relaunch of The Game and that she had no plans on having more children, the actress turned her focus to speculations of a revival. “Will there be a Sister, Sister reboot?” one of the questions asked, prompting Tia to respond, “No, sorry!”
While she was hoping for a Sister, Sister comeback in March, she told PEOPLE’s Defend Yourself that a prospective follow-up series was being halted due to “legalities.”
“What’s in the way is the rights,” she said at the time. “We ended up moving forward with it, and we didn’t have all of the rights in place — I guess there were still some legalities that needed to come into place that put it on hold.”
“And once that put it on hold, then Tamera and I are not just sitting around, you know what I mean?” she added. “She gets an opportunity, I get an opportunity — but yeah, it’s sad.”
After Sister, Sister was released on Netflix, Tamera reflected on the legacy of the show.
“To see the younger generation loving it just as much as our generation did, it’s really cool to relive that moment,” Tamera said. “I think in a way [we’re] experiencing why something becomes a classic.”
“When I was doing Sister, Sister, I never thought of it that way,” Tamera added. “But now, watching it and seeing my kids watch it — and they love it — you’re like, ‘Wow, we really did hit gold there.'”
