After filing a similar complaint last year, former friend Tirzah Morris is suing comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears again, this time for defamation.
Both comedians have repeatedly denied the allegations from the 2022 lawsuit that accused Haddish and Spears of involving Morris’ underage children in explicit acts for a comedy skit.
Morris claims that she and Haddish were friends from 2011 to 2020, forming the lawsuit’s foundation. The suit alleges that Haddish “groomed and solicited” her children to “perform in, film, record, publish and distribute sexually inappropriate.”
According to Haddish’s lawyer, “Every attorney who has initially taken on her case — and there were several — ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down. Now, Ms. Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action.”
In the new lawsuit, Morris claims that Haddish and Spears defamed her by accusing her of extortion. After her previous lawsuit was dismissed, she alleges Spears called her a “lying b*tch.”
Representatives of Haddish and Spears have once again countered the claims in response to the new lawsuit.
