TikTok star Anthony Barajas passed away Saturday after being on life support following a shooting in a movie theater.
Barajas, 19, and his friend Rylee Goodrich, 18, were shot in the head on Monday during a showing of The Forever Purge in a Corona, California, movie theater. Goodrich was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to her father, Goodrich and Barajas met over the 4th of July weekend and were on a date.
According to police, theater employees who went inside the theater to clean up after the movie discovered the victims.
Joseph Jimenez, 20, was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the shooting. On Friday, he was charged with murder and attempted murder. Now that Barajas has passed away, it is expected that his charges will be upgraded.
Prosecutors say that the motive for the shooting is still unknown. It looks as if the attack was random and unprovoked.
