When one door closes, another one opens, and that’s exactly what happened to a popular TikTok influencer.
Last week, a Chick-fil-A employee and TikTok user, known as @mirithesiren, shared that the company’s PR team informed her she had to stop posting her popular menu reviews on TikTok, citing company policies. Following the incident, Miri expressed her interest in collaborating with other brands and to her surprise, she was contacted shortly after with a new partnership with Shake Shack.
Shake Shack’s VP of Brand Marketing, Mike McGarry, recently revealed that their brand marketing team stumbled upon Miri’s lunch break clips and instantly “loved” them. This prompted them to partner with her. McGarry explained that Miri’s content perfectly resonates with Shake Shack’s commitment to quality food and a strong sense of community, which made the partnership a natural fit.
So @ChickfilA told an employee to stop posting her lunch on TikTok as content. Nor were they interested in a collaboration. Well @shakeshack invited her to lunch with a sweet deal. pic.twitter.com/moA5PndNr5

“We, along with the rest of her community, were disappointed to hear that this chapter was coming to an end. We loved the energy and authenticity Miri brought to her content.” McGarry said.
He added, “Miri happens to be from St. Louis like our founder, Danny Meyer, so our offerings like frozen custard are familiar favorites. There was natural alignment between our communities, and it presented an opportunity to not only champion an inspiring creator but also tout the best chicken sandwich out there: the Chicken Shack.”
McGarry also mentioned that the timing couldn’t have been better, as Shake Shack had just kicked off its Chicken Sundays campaign. Miri, who joined Chick-fil-A in January and started making her review videos then, had about 70,000 TikTok followers by last Friday. Since launching her videos, she’s gained an impressive 50,000 followers. By Monday, her follower count had surged to over 105,000.
Shoutout to Miri and her new beginnings!
