The recent FBI raid on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ property has sparked major online discussions, especially after it was revealed that baby oil was one of the items found. However, TikTokers are raising eyebrows, claiming that the baby oil is actually a cover for GHB, a dangerous party drug often referred to as “liquid ecstasy.” While the FBI officially listed only baby oil in their report, social media has been buzzing with speculation, turning the conversation toward the possibility of GHB use.
What Is GHB? Gamma-hydroxybutyrate, or GHB, is a nervous system depressant known for producing feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and sociability. However, it’s also infamous for its dangers, especially when used recreationally. A small increase in dose can cause severe side effects or even death. GHB is illegal and highly risky, often abused in party settings for its sedative and aphrodisiac effects. Some of the dangerous side effects of GHB include: drowsiness and relaxation, euphoria and increased sex drive, vomiting, confusion, and hallucinations, blackouts, seizures, and even coma or death. GHB is sometimes referred to as “liquid ecstasy” but is a completely different drug from MDMA, better known as ecstasy. It’s also known by street names like “grievous bodily harm” (GBH) and “fantasy.”
TikTok Speculation: GHB or Baby Oil? When news of the FBI’s raid broke and baby oil was mentioned in the official report, TikTokers jumped on the topic, with many alleging that the baby oil found could be a stand-in for GHB. These online speculations stem from GHB’s reputation as a party drug often linked to a heightened sex drive, and its common form—a colorless, odorless liquid—can resemble baby oil or other everyday substances. However, the FBI has only listed baby oil in their findings, with no mention of GHB. Despite this, TikTok users have been fueling the rumor mill, with many suggesting that the presence of baby oil is suspicious, given the other allegations against Diddy. Some have speculated that baby oil could have been used in conjunction with GHB for illicit activities, though there is no concrete evidence to support these claims.
GHB’s Dangerous Effects For those unfamiliar with GHB, it’s important to understand the serious risks associated with the drug. While it might be glamorized as a party drug, the dangers far outweigh any perceived benefits. GHB is often used in clubs or private gatherings because it can make people feel more sociable, uninhibited, and sensitive to touch. However, even a small increase in dose can lead to overdose, causing effects like dizziness and loss of coordination, memory lapses and blackouts, tremors and tunnel vision, seizures, respiratory arrest, and death. Due to the drug’s highly unpredictable nature, even experienced users are at risk of serious consequences from just a small miscalculation in dosage.
What Really Happened in Diddy’s Raid? As of now, there is no official confirmation that GHB was found during the FBI’s raid on Diddy’s property. The only substance listed by authorities was reportedly baby oil.
