”Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock Are Getting Their Own Animated Comedy Series on Netflix

Tina Fey and Robert Carlock have landed their own animated comedy series on Netflix, which revolves around the remnants of humanity starting a new society from scratch after an alien attack destroys earth, according to Variety.

Netflix has ordered 20 episodes of the series, which is created and executive produced by Carlock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt writer and executive producer Sam Means. Fey will also executive produce on the series.

This is not the first time Fey and Carlock have worked together. The two previously created the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which ran for four seasons. The pair are also currently writing and executive producing NBC’s untitled L.A. Mayor comedy series as well as executive producing Girls5Eva, a comedy series for Peacock, NBCU’s upcoming streaming platform.
