Ya’ll know Tina Knowles does not play when it comes to Solange and Beyonce.
The internet has been buzzing about Bey’s appearance since the L.A. premiere of her “Renaissance” movie. The biggest conversation has surrounded her skin tone and a seemingly lighter appearance. Many accused the superstar of undergoing lightening treatments, which is something that would contradict Bey’s pro-Black stance in her songs and visuals, such as her powerful “Black Is King” musical film.
Well, on Tuesday, Miss Tina had time to address the trolls, and she had plenty to say. She shared a fan video of Bey in various moments with the song “Brown Skin Girl” featured in the clip. According to Tina, she chose to share the video because it highlights Bey being comfortable in her skin throughout the years, shutting down rumors of bleaching.
“She does a film called the ‘Renaissance,” where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire, and you bozos decide that she’s trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin? How sad is it that some of her own people continue the stupid narrative with hate and jealousy. Duh, she wore silver hair to match her silver dress as a fashion statement clown,” Tina wrote in part of her lengthy IG statement.
In addition to her looks, Bey was also criticized for having the “Renaissance” film shown in Israel despite the ongoing conflict. However, in typical Yonce fashion, she has not said a word on the latest wave of outrage, but Tina is much less silent.
“Every time she does something that she works her a** off for is a statement of her work ethic, talent, and resilience. Here you sad little haters come out the woodwork. Jealousy and racism, sexism, double standards; you perpetuate those things,” the upset mom added.
