By now, everyone should know that Ms. Tina Knowles does not play about her daughter Beyoncé and takes no issue with publicly defending the singer.
Her latest statement comes after the Bey gave a stunning performance during the Christmas Day NFL Halftime Show. The 12-minute set took place at the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans football game. While many people were left in awe following Bey’s performance, others criticized the icon and gave less favorable opinions. However, Mama Tina wasn’t having it.
On Friday, she took to Instagram to address the backlash, adding her own commentary to a social media user’s defensive statement about Bey.
“Irrespective of whether you like Beyoncé’s music or not, it is PROOF and motivation that no matter how undeniably talented you are, people will always, ALWAYS, always have some negative ish to say,” the fan’s post read.
In her caption, Knowles agreed with the user’s post and explained her frustrations with people having negative remarks about Bey and her performance.
“My sentiments exactly! It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas Day and watch a performance of someone you hate and you don’t think has talent so that you can go talk ish about it later,” she wrote.
She continued, “Obviously, you are so obsessed with them, addicted to them, and secretly admire them, wish you could be them, that you cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke!! So go to another channel when it’s halftime, watch goofy cartoons or Bozo the Clown, or something you can relate to and see yourself in. Said with love.”
Bey’s latest halftime performance highlighted her most recent album, “Cowboy Carter,” which was a country-blended project that topped the Billboard 200 chart. The show featured hits from the album such as “16 Carriages,” “Levii’s Jeans,” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” and included special guests Post Malone, Shaboozey, Tanner Adell, and Brittney Spencer. But, the most unforgettable guest that graced the field was Bey’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, who shocked the crowd with her precision of the line dance.
As if that wasn’t enough, Bey also teased a new project that’s set to be unveiled next year. In a cryptic Instagram post, she shared a brief video of herself riding on a horse and waving an American flag. The clip ended with the date “1.14.25” displayed across the screen, leaving fans to question if the Queen will be announcing another tour on that date.
