The online community that follows chef influencer Tineke “Tini” Younger is expressing deep sympathy after she revealed the heartbreaking loss of one of her twin daughters.
The 24-year-old shared that she experienced a placental abruption just before reaching 36 weeks, which resulted in the passing of her daughter, Arya. Younger delivered the painful update on Instagram, posting photos of herself with her husband, Antoine Wright Jr., and their babies.
In her message, she told supporters, “This isn’t the post I ever thought I would share once the twins came, unfortunately earlier this week we lost our sweet girl Arya (Baby A).” She also explained what happened, writing, “We made it to almost 36 weeks, we were so close to being done and getting the girls to term, but I had a placenta abruption, and we lost our sweet girl.”
She also took a moment to share how her surviving daughter is doing. Younger wrote, “Her twin sister is doing really well and breathing on her own. They both are so beautiful, and Arya will always be celebrated; her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister.”
After giving the update, Younger let her followers know she will be taking a break from social media for an unknown amount of time, reassuring them by saying, “I promise I will be back.”
Her announcement comes months after she revealed she was expecting twins. Her pregnancy reveal carried her signature humor, with a message that read, “2 sous chefs on the way.”
