Over 4 million viewers tuned in Monday night to watch Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story on VH1, making the made for TV film VH1’s highest rated original movie AND becoming the most-watched original movie on cable this year. Do the math, that’s a LOT of people cooking up Pebbles’ Twitter mentions and reposting memes of her on Instagram!
One character looking to capitalize off her literal 15 minutes of fame is ex-member and TLC co-founder, Crystal Selene Jones. If you watched the movie, you may remember her as the original “C” in TLC who unfortunately bombed her audition in front of LA Reid and Pebbles. Instead of being an official member of what was later to become the #1 selling girl group in the world, she disappeared into oblivion. Now Crystal is looking to write a book on her experience, titled “TLC…My Story. The Awakening of A Shattered Dream.” Now, I’m not sure what exactly could be left to say since as we know, her story with TLC didn’t last passed the Table of Contents.
Pebbles has already threatened to sue, saying that the group did not tell the truth about their dealings with her. Crystal neither confirmed nor denied whether the story is true about her, yet she has always remained nice and cordial which is amicable. Sweet as you are Crystal, no one cares about your tell all when you have nothing to tell, sweetie.
