Rihanna has yet to master the art of not feeding the trolls. During an interview with Australia’s Channel 7′s Sunrise T-Boz and Chilli commented on Rihanna’s choice in attire, including her highly talked about sheer CDFA Awards gown. “Every time I see you you don’t have to be naked,” T-Boz said adding, ‘It’s hard for us to say anything because any time we do, they say, ‘Oh TLC must be jealous’, but I call a spade a spade.” Chilli commented as well saying, “We became the biggest girl selling group of all time with our clothes on and that says a lot. We could go around too with booby cakes [breasts] out all day long.”
Well Rihanna caught wind of their comments and took it upon herself to prove that T-Boz and Chilli have resorted to a little boob exposure of their own. She posted the photo above to Twitter. If that wasn’t enough, Rihanna continued poking fun at the entire subject saying, “Phuck what a old thot gotta say.”
Now I love TLC, lord knows I do, but I get so annoyed that they have to do this “old head” thing that they do by chiming in on everything the younger generation does. On one hand, T-Boz praised Miley Cyrus and told people to let Miley do Miley, and now she throws shots at Rihanna? Let the girl live, she’s grown. Though I will never downplay TLC’s achievements, I get tired of the “back in our day we were the highest selling group…blah blah blah” thing they always do. That was 20 years ago and frankly with the exception of TLC, there haven’t been many pop cross-over girl groups since then. Even Destiny’s Child disbanded 10 years ago. Who has time to throw around 2 decade old accolades. At least never forget, though they didn’t dress raunchy, they had their own raunchy lyrics including “Red Light Special”, “This Is How It Works” and T-Boz’s first solo record dedicated entirely to masturbation.
I say that to say this, just let Rihanna do what Rihanna feels like doing because she clearly is not going to listen to what you have to say. If she crashes and burns, let it be. It will be at her own hands.
