Dear Barely Famous,
We get it—you might not enjoy having everyone involved in your personal life. However, it’s important to recognize the significant role urban bloggers play in your success. Without their spotlight, public interest and your income might dwindle.
Many celebrities will never make it onto the pages of TMZ, let alone People or US Weekly. Urban bloggers ensure you remain significant within black society, and without them, most mainstream Americans wouldn’t recognize you on the street.
You must realize that appearing on these blogs is part of the bargain for your success. For many of you who depend on appearance fees, these blogs keep you within the VIP circle, rather than waiting outside, longing for entry.
To some of you C-list stars, without this exposure, your fame might be limited to being admired in less glamorous circumstances. We’re not just handing you celebrity status; for many, without us, you’d blend into the crowd.
So, to those barely brushing fame, a little humility and gratitude wouldn’t hurt. Remember, there aren’t paparazzi chasing after most of you—being talked about by bloggers is a privilege. Enjoy it while it lasts, because fame is fleeting.
Respect to the Urban Bloggers!
Sincerely,
Baller Alert
