Well, I’ll be. Despite what he went to jail for, Todd Chrisley is now teaching a financial class while serving his prison sentence.
According to his daughter, Savannah Chrisley, Todd has taught some classes.
“Dad’s definitely taught some classes,” she said during an episode of her podcast Unlocked.
“Trauma is one of them. I think another one was a financial class — which, how ironic?” she added, referencing the fact that her parents are both in prison after being found guilty of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States, Page Six reported.
As for her mom, Julie Chrisley, she’s teaching real estate courses.
“She’s got all these certificates from teaching and completing classes and all these things,” the 26-year-old continued, adding that her mom has “always been” an “overachiever.”
Their daughter said that teaching courses can help Todd and Julie reduce their original combined 19-year prison sentence due to the First Step Act.
“That’s what Mom and Dad’s reductions were. Were good time credits. FSA credits,” the former beauty queen furthered. “They get 15 days off for every 30 they spend [teaching]. Something of that nature.”
So far, the husband and wife have had a year cut off their sentences.
