Todd Chrisley, the outspoken patriarch of “Chrisley Knows Best,” is back home after serving just two years of a 12-year federal sentence thanks to a pardon from Donald Trump.
On Wednesday evening, Todd was released from the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida. His wife, Julie Chrisley, who had been serving a seven-year sentence in Kentucky, is also expected to be released. Their convictions stemmed from a 2022 case involving bank fraud and tax evasion totaling tens of millions.
Their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, has been leading a high-profile campaign to secure their release, and it appears her efforts have paid off. Just one day before Todd walked free, she received a personal phone call from Trump, informing her of the pardons. Hours later, she held a press conference and posted photos of the signed paperwork on social media.
Lifetime is reportedly already filming the family’s reunion and post-prison life for an upcoming docuseries. As for the $17.8 million in restitution tied to their conviction, sources have hinted that the pardon might wipe the couple’s slate clean.
