Nobody who you date, they will never be good enough for you, according to your parents. This is something we all will face at some point or another. Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kandi Burress, seems to face this with every boyfriend. The latest victim, Todd Tucker.
When we first got wind of Todd and Kandi, it was explained that Todd was either an executive at Bravo or on the RHOA production team. That’s all good and all but Kandi’s mom thinks he’s not rich enough to be with Kandi. She also felt that Todd was an opportunist. This has got to be tough to hear from your fiancé’s mother. Especially when you’re trying to make an honest living and your fiancé is fine with that. Must be difficult dealing with a female Baller.
Things get emotional in a sneak peek from Real Housewives of Atlanta.
“I feel like I’ve given so much of myself to this relationship, and I’m just getting shot down,” said Todd. Frustration nearly brought Todd to tears as Kandi told him about her mother’s thoughts on her engagement ring. “Well, she made a snide remark about my ring because it’s not as expensive as other people’s rings,” she explained.
Kandi tries to defend her mother’s actions by saying she’s simply just old and stuck in her ways. “So basically, if I become a millionaire by next year, I can buy that love?” he asks Kandi.
“She definitely wouldn’t have so much of an issue,” Kandi said, laughing.
“You laugh a lot about this… It’s really not funny,” Todd fired back.
