A coyote attacked a toddler while on the shore of a Southern California beach on Thursday, and the incident was captured on film.
The prairie wolf attacked the little girl’s face and instantly knocked her to the ground as she played near the ocean at Huntington Beach, the New York Post reported.
The coyote rolled the child to and fro and, at one point, leaped off of her before lunging back on her in a mounting position.
Two oblivious adults and a kid standing next to the incident watched the waves crash, the startling footage showed.
After nearly 14 excruciating seconds into the attack, a woman turned her head, noticed the attack, and scared the coyote away.
The child was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover from serious injuries.
Cops later shot two coyotes dead on the Orange County beach, but it was not the canine that charged at the young girl.
