According to reports, Gisele spearheaded the move after hiring a divorce lawyer. Tom later followed suit and the two filed for divorce on Friday morning. However, the terms of the settlement have already been figured out and will remain confidential.
The superstars split comes after Gisele was reportedly upset at Tom for ending his retirement 40 days after the announcement.
“Obviously, I have my concerns. This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” Gisele told Elle in September. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again.”
Gisele and Tom are the parents of 13-year-old Benjamin and 9-year-old Vivian.
