Toni Braxton recently sat down with Access Hollywood Live’s Kit Hoover and Nina Parker to discuss her upcoming tour, her family, and of course her love life.
In the interview Toni opens up about her youngest son Diezel, who’s publicly dealt with autism. According to Toni, that is a thing of the past. “I’m one of the lucky parents. Early diagnosis changes everything. My son Diezel is off the spectrum. Our lives have changed. He [has] no signs of autism. He’s a social butterfly. He’s doing wonderful.”
Toni attributes Diezel’s diagnosis to Suzanne Wright, founder of Autism Speaks, who passed away last week. She says that Wright assisted her early on in getting Diezel into all of the right programs to help treat her son.
Toni also discussed her rumored relationship with Cash Money mogul, Birdman.
“He’s a sweetheart,” said Toni. “We’ve been friends since 2001. He’s one of my dearest friends.” She also tells Access Hollywood Live that her mother, Evelyn Braxton, loves Birdman and wants them to be an item. For now, though, they’re just “besties.”
