Celebrity attorney Tony Buzbee is staying out of the ongoing drama between adult film star Moriah Mills and NBA star Zion Williamson. TMZ has confirmed Buzbee declined to represent Mills if she chooses to sue the New Orleans Pelicans player.
Mills recently reached out to Buzbee for potential legal action. However, the high-profile lawyer made it clear he’s not taking her on as a client.
“A member of our staff spoke to her,” Buzbee said in a statement Tuesday. “After review we declined to take her case.”
He continued, “We can’t comment about the details or merits of her claims. As you know we are contacted by numerous people across the United States daily with grievances. We can’t help them all. Some of those we do take are resolved quietly. A number are filed and litigated, like the $640 million jury verdict we achieved a few weeks back. Only a small few become public.”
While Mills hasn’t publicly revealed the legal claims she considered, she famously blasted Williamson on social media two years ago. In one post, she claimed the NBA star was intimate with her just days before revealing he was expecting a baby with another woman.
Mills confirmed Buzbee’s decision, saying her situation didn’t align with the types of cases he typically handles.
Meanwhile, Williamson is currently battling a separate, serious lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe who accused him of years of sexual abuse. He has called those claims “categorically false and reckless.”
