On Tuesday a Toronto Raptors rookie was arrested in NYC. Twenty-three-year-old shooting guard Terence Davis allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a verbal dispute.
When Police Arrived at The Beekman Hotel where Davis was staying they found a woman badly bruised with a shattered phone.
The unidentified female refused to fully cooperate with law enforcement or seek medical attention. Davis is currently in police custody. His charges are assault and criminal mischief.
“The woman visited Davis at The Beekman Hotel, On Mitchell Place near First Avenue in Midtown. The two engaged in A verbal dispute. Davis allegedly punched the woman in the face. He also allegedly grabbed the woman’s phone and broke the screen,” Deputy Sophia Mason of the New York Police Department stated.
Davis’ arraignment at Midtown Criminal Court is currently pending.
The Toronto Raptors issued the following statement
“We are aware of the reports, and are seeking more information.”
