Tory Lanez’s bond was increased after a judge determined that the rapper violated Megan Thee Stallion’s restraining order by performing at Rolling Loud Miami last month while she was still backstage.
On Monday, a representative from the Los Angeles District Attorneys Office told XXL that the rapper would not face any jail time for breaking the protection order, which mandates him to stay at least 100 yards away from Megan. However, Lanez’s bail was reportedly raised from $190,000 to $250,000.
The Toronto rapper-singer, who made an in-person appearance in Los Angeles court yesterday, has been banned from attending any events where Megan would be present. If he doesn’t comply with this modified restraining order, he will be detained and taken into custody. Tory is expected at his next court appearance on September 2.
The modified restraining order was filed after Tory appeared on stage with DaBaby last month to play their joint single “Skat” at Rolling Loud. According to Lanez’s sources, he was never spotted around or near Megan.
In October last year, Tory Lanez was ordered to maintain a strong distance from Meg, following the July shooting incident in the Hollywood Hills district that left her with two gunshots to the back of her feet.
