Tory Lanez isn’t holding back after his ex-attorney, Shawn Holley, was called out on his new album PETERSON.
On the track “Verdict Days x Lawyer Fees Interlude,” Tory accuses Holley of working undercover for Roc Nation, Megan Thee Stallion’s team.
Holley didn’t take the accusations lightly. She fired back with a statement to XXL, detailing her side of the story.
According to Holley, Tory’s legal troubles went south after he pushed for a defense she couldn’t support. “Finally, Mr. Peterson asked me to step down as his counsel when I refused to advance the defense he wanted to put forth. He is now sitting in prison, having used that defense in his trial. Maybe he should have listened to me,” Holley explained.
Tory, of course, wasn’t going to let that slide. He responded to Holley’s remarks on DJ Akademiks’ Instagram post, where Holley’s statement was shared.
Tory wrote, “A lawyer making an official statement to an outlet like ‘XXL’ should tell us all we need to know. PS: lying and trying to hide from public information is Astronomical work.”
