Tory Lanez has been relocated to California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo County after a violent stabbing left him seriously injured earlier this month.
The move, first reported by TMZ on Thursday, comes after Lanez, who is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, was attacked at California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. According to his team, the rapper was stabbed 14 times, causing both of his lungs to collapse.
Lanez’s attorney told TMZ, “He’s doing fine, considering the severity of his injuries… but isn’t necessarily happy he had to move to CMC, near San Luis Obispo.” Despite having built a sense of community at his original facility, the switch was deemed necessary for his safety. TMZ noted, “Officials could no longer keep Tory safe at Tehachapi.”
Following the attack, Drake once again voiced his support for Lanez, fueling another round of speculation and unfounded claims about Lanez’s innocence.
Alex Spiro, Megan Thee Stallion’s attorney, firmly shut down these narratives: “Despite Mr. Lanez being convicted at trial by overwhelming evidence (that included his own admission of his guilt), he and his team — flanked by any ignorant person they can find — have pushed whatever misleading narrative they can.”
Spiro previously criticized similar misinformation in October 2024, linking it to Lanez’s alleged efforts to manipulate media from prison. That same month, Megan filed a lawsuit against a blogger accused of cyberbullying on Lanez’s behalf.
