According to reports, Reese began her singing career at the early age of six-years-old. By 13, she was singing in front of massive crowds with the likes of Mahalia Jackson. In 1957, Reese gained nationwide recognition from her hit songs, “And That Reminds Me and “Don’t You Know?” Years later, she transitioned from music to television.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the 90s, Reese secured a role in “Touched By An Angel,” where she drew on her Christian faith. Decades later, the beloved actress retired from acting.

Our prayers and condolences are with the family of Della Reese, who is survived by her husband and three children.
