Travis Scott brought the second leg of his ”Astroworld” Tour to his hometown of Houston, Texas on Wednesday and Houston showed love back.
Houston Mayor, Sylvester Turner, came to the stage right before the end of the show to make two major announcements.
Turner presented Scott with a key to the city for his amazing year and his many contributions to H-Town, “We owe so much to this guy for keeping Houston on the map.”
The 26-year-old shared a smile, but there was even more good news on the way, as Scott’s dreams of bringing back the original Astroworld would soon be a reality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“With ‘Astroworld’ man, and those of us that remember Astroworld, and because of him, we’re gonna bring another amusement theme park back to the city,” Turner declared, much to the delight of the capacity Houston crowd. “This city loves you,” and Houston fans cheered in agreement.
It was a very proud moment for the rapper. If you recall, Scott forecasted plans to revive his childhood theme park on Astroworld opener “Stargazing.” “’99 took AstroWorld, it had to relocate/ Told the dogs I’d bring it back, it was a seal of faith,” Scott prophesied.
