Supreme Creative Director Tremaine Emory Slams Kanye West For ‘Using Virgil Abloh’s Death’ as Part of His ‘Victim Campaign: “You are so Broken. Keep Virgil Name Out Your Mouth”

Demin Tears designer and Supreme Creative Director Tremaine Emory has spoken out against Kanye West’s latest controversial antics and comments.

Tuesday, Emory shared a screenshot of Ye’s Instagram post about YZY SZN 9 earlier that day in which he suggested discussing “more important things like how late the show was or how Bernard Arnault killed my best friend.” Arnault, notably, is the CEO at LVMH.

Emory wrote a caption urging the Yeezy mogul not to use the late Virgil Abloh’s name as part of his “victim campaign” and added that Ye “rode on [Abloh] in group chats” and elsewhere.

“Ye tell the ppl why you didn’t get invited to Virgil’s actual funeral, the one before the public one at the museum,” Emory, the founder of Denim Tears and creative director of Supreme, said. “You knew Virgil had terminal cancer, and you rode on him in group chats, at Yeezy, interviews…YOU ARE SO BROKEN. KEEP VIRGIL NAME OUT YOUR MOUTH.”

Emory also said he’s “got all the ‘receipts’” and called Ye “an insecure narcissist.”

Emory’s stance garnered support, including Julia Fox, who commented multiple applause emojis on his post.

Other celebrities weighed in as well. Gigi Hadith spoke against West, saying he was both a “bully” and a “joke.”

Ye has caused quite an uproar after his YZY SZN 9 presentation in Paris on Monday. There was a lot of debate on his choice to wear a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt while holding hands with Candace Owens. The shirt also featured an image of Pope John Paul II and was met with widespread criticism on social media.

Kanye West caught wind of Tramaine’s post and blamed LVHM CEO, Bernard Arnault.

“IN WAR THEY WILL SEND YOUR OWN PEOPLE AT YOU,” Kanye captioned a screenshot of Tramaine’s post. “GOOD ONE BERNARD.”
