Trevor Noah took a subtle dig at Will Smith while giving the opening remarks at Sunday’s Grammys.
Trevor hosted the 64th annual show and didn’t shy away from last week’s fiasco.
Trevor began his speech by welcoming everyone to the event and name-dropped some of the big celebrities in the building. He also reassured the crowd that the show would be a smooth ride with lots of dancing and musical performances.
However, Trevor did not forget to mention the Will Smith and Chris Rock incident that took place last week at the Oscars. Before ending his monologue, Trevor added, “We’re gonna be keeping people’s names out of our mouths.” While he didn’t name the two actors specifically, it was pretty obvious who he was referring to.
