Trey Songz is currently fighting a sexual assault lawsuit and is seeking to dismiss the case entirely. He asserts that the alleged victim is lying about his alleged attempt to bribe her.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Jauhara Jeffries, the alleged victim, accused Songz of offering her $200,000 to lie about the assault that she claims happened at a Miami nightclub in 2021.
Jeffries, who initially met Songz at Diddy’s residence in 2018, is now suing the singer for $20 million. However, Songz disputes the allegations and is supported by witness Mariah Thielen, who claims to have been at the Miami nightclub with Jeffries and Songz during the incident.
Thielen’s version of events reveals that the incident started when Jeffries tried to record Songz at the nightclub against his wishes. Jeffries continued to record despite Songz’s objections, so he instructed his security to remove her from his vicinity.
She testified under oath that Jeffries’ attorney took her to lunch after the incident and offered her a sum between $100,000 and $200,000 to give false testimony on Jeffries’ behalf, to portray Songz as the next R. Kelly.
