One of Trey Songz’s sexual assault accusers dropped her lawsuit against him after he came out hard against the allegations.
According to court documents, the woman described as “Jane Doe” backed down from her $20 million lawsuit against the singer. Doe allegedly wants the “entire situation” dismissed. However, she did not rule out the possibility of refiling the suit in the future.
Earlier this year, the woman claimed she had a consensual sexual relationship with Trey. The woman then alleged that things took a turn for the worst one night in 2016.
Doe accused Trey of anally raping her after she told him no when he asked to “get that a**.” She said Trey disregarded her response and sexually assaulted her anyway. The accuser alleges that Trey threw her on the floor, ripped her clothes off, and forced himself on her.
Trey and his team later came out to deny the accusations and pointed fingers at one of the attorneys on the case, Ariel Mitchell. Mitchell was allegedly involved in witness tampering in a Miami-based sexual assault case.
Trey has not responded to the dismissal, but he isn’t off the hook, legally, just yet. The singer is currently fighting another sexual assault case against Dylan Gonzalez. Last year, the former college basketball star accused Trey of being a rapist in a tweet.
