Rapper Trippie Redd was arrested Thursday morning while attempting to catch a flight to France out of Miami International Airport. The 26-year-old artist, whose real name is Michael Lamar White, was taken into custody over an outstanding 2023 warrant out of Miami-Dade County, according to an arrest report.
He was arrested without incident and transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Details about the nature of the warrant have not yet been released.
Trippie Redd, who lives in Southwest Ranches, Florida, rose to fame with his debut album “Life’s a Trip” and mixtape series “A Love Letter to You.” He recently performed at Rolling Loud in Miami and reportedly welcomed a child with rapper Coi Leray last month.
